Tafi & Daz 3D Support Tech Leaders of Tomorrow With Silicon Slopes Teen Internship Program

Silicon Slopes is the voice, hub, and heart of Utah’s tech community. It’s a statewide nonprofit organization with a mission that inspires locals with learning opportunities, connections, and, most importantly, a willingness to give back. The organization has helped Utah become a vibrant and diverse center of innovation with over 6,500 startups and tech companies, and the teams at Tafi and Daz 3D are grateful to be at the center of it all. 

In one of its latest initiatives, Silicon Slopes is developing a program that supports teens in Utah by connecting them with exciting summer internship opportunities at local tech companies. 

Crafting Hands-On Learning Opportunities

Tafi and Daz 3D are leading the effort with the program’s first intern, Atticus Kittrell, a high school sophomore. His goals during the internship were to learn more about computer science, social media marketing, and the NFT space. 

“Being a part of the upcoming silicon slopes teen program is very exciting,” said Atticus. “It’s fun to construct ideas and to work on different projects. My internship with Tafi is definitely a big step in my young career. It has taught me to work, draft, create, and much more. A big highlight of my internship was getting to look through the Daz shop and create my own bundle. Overall, I’ve got to do some exciting stuff and I am grateful for all the opportunities.”

Atticus interviewed a number of key individuals within the organization to better understand their roles. During his time with Tafi and Daz 3D, he was able to explore the NFT and blockchain space, digital marketing projects, and eCommerce strategy.

Atticus was eager to jump into several projects and even created original content for TikTok and Snapchat. He also curated a Daz Original fundraiser bundle with a street-racing theme to support the Silicon Slopes program. Our ultimate goal with this first fundraising campaign is to build and expand the program. We hope to extend these same opportunities to future students, both at Tafi and other companies across Utah.
