Awesome work jester, can't wait to see it textured...HFS morphs again....I now hate anyone with HFS morphs for Genesis. LOL

    Thank you Szark
Sadly I can only turn morph dials. Coming up with a texture I think that would truly do it justice is beyond my artistic skill.

Yeah I meant just textured full stop. I hear you on that one. I will stick with making textures for simple things.

    Ok silly question time.
Once I have all my morphs in place how do I save it all to just one morph dial?

THAT'S what Genesis is missing. Extra geocrafted heads!

Not quite GeoGrafted but works none the less :)

Ok so I found a texture in my library that looks good on my half dragon. And here is a render. Would like some feed back on the morph itself though.
Oh and picture is titled: Meet My Dad!

"Meet my dad"? Oh my, Jester, that's so funny and imaginative! He looks quite like a golem too (I mean, he's quite, ekhm, "rocky" - that's a good point since dragons seem to enjoy nesting on rocky hills etc.). Can you add more scales onto his texture? Sasje, your Jolie looks very good too. I can only judge on the actress' photographs (I never played any "Tomb raider" games), but I can clearly see the similarity.

A good friend of mine is working on a texture for me once I figure out how to get the UV map to her.

Hey Scott just a question for you. SO I some what learned how to use d-forms today and was playing around with my half dragon I made a custom morph to go on top of the custom dialing. can I use that also?

A work in progress for a possible second entry.

Not sure how happy I am with the character yet... this is close to what I'm going for, but I'm still trying to get a few of his features looking a bit more, err, crisply saggy if that makes any sense. Well defined saggy. ;)
I have Strigoi, Zev0's aging morphs, evolution morphs, some proportion morphs, as well as some basic child in the mix here.

Looking pretty good...nice unique character with personality, I like it. Kind of reminds me of hobbits, yet different, too. The eye socket region looks a bit odd to me...I've seen similar results in my own characters when I pushed certain morphs a bit too far, but I'm not sure whether that's the case here or not. The "crisply saggy" aspect you are working on sounds like a good direction for him.

This would be a fun contest, but I'm busy at the moment with another project (my Blender tutorial.) It would be nice to keep this thread alive however, possibly as a sticky so people can add to it over time :)

Thanks Gedd...I am a little peeved off to be honest about the whole thing but I thought why should others loose out, hence me posting the receipe. :)

For what it's worth I was sorry to see it go. (In case anyone is wondering, I didn't ask him to withdraw it from the contest, but I think Szark and I both recognize that there are valid reasons behind it... Probably best to just leave it at that)

At any rate, now that it's not an entry I can say that I think he's an amazing character and I'm so glad to see him on DA!

That brings up a good point. It might be helpful to start a new thread for custom dialed characters that don't have rules associated as is the case with something like a contest, and have that stickied if possible. Unlike contests, contributions to the community should have as little rules as possible/necessary to encourage people to share. The discussion around contest entries vs contributions is fundamentally different also.

I think the contest idea was great, but it would be nice to see it evolve into an ongoing thing, perhaps the 'Original Genesis Fan Club.' :)

Very cool, I can definitely see the "family resemblance!". The untextured image looked oddly bumpy in a few places, but with the texture on him, I think the lumps are a feature, not a bug. If anything, I wish his eyes were more visible (maybe he's squinting, though).

Very creative work...good job. And yeah, I thought I had enough creature morphs, but now I really want to get those HFS shapes...

You can use a custom morph that you made yourself, if and only if you make it publicly available as a freebie or for sale.

Yes that's quite right, the eye socket (and other small, delicate features) can get "blurred" sometimes as morphs mix too strongly. Finding ways to avoid or counteract that effect can be tricky. We'll see, thanks for the feedback!

I'm definitely voting for that club. That would be great. In fact, this contest encouraged me to truly use the full potential of morphs I painstakingly gathered, but never used before. I want to share my creations with the others once I've got enough skills. Of course, the rules must be followed, but I think it'd be enough not to have the character redistributed and asked if used on the Internet (DA, let's say) and in commercial renders. I share stock images on my own and I'm happy to see somebody finds use for them, but I still ask for a notification to see what's actually happening with them. It's not a lot to ask, especially as I don't ask for any fees though many people do, don't you think?

As for Molly, I'm slowly finishing the background. I made up a short story about her as a stepcousin of Aiko visiting her during the holidays. When I finish, I need to ask stock providers for their permissions and then I can upload it. And I'm planning a surprise for that photomanipulation, oh yeah :D...

By the way, would it be possible to donate a morph for Genesis to this contest and still participate in it?

I tried playing with the eyes but did not come up with anything I liked. Here is a preview of the custom morph. I tried to get rid of some of those bumps you where talking about.....They bothered me to no end.
I would like to make this available but I have never done anything like that before so not sure how I would go about it. With all the legal stuff not sure how.

I think the easiest way is to save it as a morph preset (this way the data won't be visible). Under "Save as...", you have to choose "Morph preset" or something similar. This will give you a nice DUF file, which ought to work in DS wherever the downloader places it, however, I suggest pasting it into ...My Library/Presets/ or ...My Library/Scene Subsets/.

On another topic, I finished the photomanipulation with Molly. Now I'm gathering permissions from stock providers. Last but not least question: I made slight improvements to my final "Nyiramachabelli". But the size is 2,06 MB so the forum rejects it. Can I post it to my MediaFire account or how otherwise can I submit the file?

it's really ashame the forum does not post link images with their thread quotes... so many quotes and discussions occur around an image which I have no idea what the image looks like and I'm not willing to scroll back hunting for the image as so many times it can be pages before finding

Little Beast? You mean Little Darling? :D It's a very nice character, trust me. My suggestion is to make the space between her calves and thighs less extreme (I would make it thicker/fatter a bit), this way she would look more natural. Should she be real, she would have a little bit of difficulty to run, her leg bones would be too fragile to make her stand. But nevertheless she's a fantasy creature, so you can leave her as it as well.

PS I have permissions from eight stockers, five more to go ;). I renew my question about donations. Also, though it may sound off-topic, how are products distributed to winners? Are they somehow added to their libraries or the donator simply sends a link to the item?

Thanks. She is quite the little darling.

I'm not sure what you mean about her calves and thighs. Here is a comparison with V4 and S4 in a modified T pose (I lowered their arms so they could stand close together). She has rather thick/muscular thighs than the default. (Due to the Barbarian / Wiry muscle settings, which also adjusts the Morphs++ BodyBuilder. I also added the Morphs++ PearFigure which affects the hips and thighs.

Also, Someone asked if they could use one of my characters, but I can't find that post. I've no problem with anyone reproducing any of the characters I enter. (And I won't even ask for credit :P )

I must say the printed version is much better ;)

Just an FYI for those not interested in creatures, those morphs if dialed in ever so slightly can make for some very real human features.

Question Laticis on the neck did you use morphs or alter the bone structure to get that extra bend effect?
