Wow. It's simply amazing. That level of Detail. Hopfully it won't cost as much as a real european flat with wo many options...

  • Looks really good. Might need to save some money for that one. Any idea on release date. Hopefully within PA sale and not in between. Also are there cameras included. Light seems to be included. But also for night scenes as shown in the promos?

  • Seems the hot water in that shower takes a long time to heat up -- that guy in the mirror has been waiting forever. And ever. And ever.

Beat578 - I would say Daz priced it fairly compared to everything else in the store. In my short experience they seem to have a ceiling for prices, so no matter the quality or time you spend on something, they'll keep the prices within their usual range.

Rod - It's set ready for release without a release date yet, so hopefully it won;t be long.
There's cameras included for most of the renders I posted so far.

There's a day and a night scene included, plus separate day and night time render settings for when you're just loading the single room sub scenes. That said, all the night time render settings do (if I remember correctly) is lower the intensity of the Skybox so it looks like it's night outside using the default HDR image Iray uses and the ISO/exposure settings might be slightly different for added night drama, but basically, you can close all the blinds in the day scene to have a dark apartment, and turning on the lights in the rooms should give you perfectly natural results in the dark. The idea was to keep things simple and straightforward.

All renders I posted (day or night) were done with the default lighting included. Only the small bedroom render with the monster hiding by the closet had an additional blue light outside the window to frame the monster better. The rest is all default.

Beyond that, you can change the color and intensity of the light coming through the windows with sliders, so you can get whatever time of day and weather mood that you want, and it all should still look perfectly natural, see second image below. That way you don't have to rely on the Iray Skybox lighting and intensity outside (which is always too weak anyway) to get the mood you like.

Livingroom by night using default night scene and turning the lights on.

And all walls can be hidden or moved away to make working easier.

And a better shot of the full kitchen

Brilliant! I wish all interiors were set up so intuitively.

  • What I hope for, and my guess is this level of detail will get it, is everything being true to size.  If it is I suggest using that as a description.

yeh, something like: European Syle Apartment, Realistic, Accurate... and Believeable. wink

It certainly looks to be all of those.

Well, things should be true to size. We took real sizes/heights etc for everything (sometimes averaged from different sources), chair and table heights, door size, ceiling heights... even the toilet.

excellent!  my credit card is ready.

  • Instant buy :-)

  • Product is available for approx $25. Bit steep but without doubt worth it. Good to have some store credit left. Pity that those additional apartement layouts shown in the last promo images are not included. Maybe in a later extension?

  • A word of warning: don't do that at home. Don't hang plates over your bed. I know, what I'm talking about. laughlaughcheekyangel

  • It's out now! https://www.daz3d.com/roguey

Rod Wise Driggo - That's actually not a bad idea, to have the other layouts as a small extension. They need some cleaning up as not everything is perfectly aligned in those yet, and she could probably do a few more layouts to go along. I know she had started a few more but settled on the 2 you see in the promo images, so if there's interest, that could be done for sure.

  • Just out of curiousity. Where exactley in europe, is this appartment meant to be? I can exclude germany for sure.

Thought so too, at first, but air conditioners are not that popular for heating rooms. most german appartments have radiators, allthough "EuroApt Light switch 5" actally looks german.

Couple of things - like the kitchen - look like a rather old (70s, early 80s) German appartement but the air conditioners. So it might be a mix of things.

  • Just saying: I am pretty much blown away by all these details. I'm a happy customer :-)

  • @Masterstroke: How big is this thing in terms of file size. Guess > 1 GB regarding all elements & textures included?

  • Aaahh comment didn't stick somehow, have to rwrite again...

Not sure if I should tell where the apartment is, since it seems to be creating a bit of mystery almost :)

    Anyway, it's in Spain!

The things that appear to be out of place (gnomes, mayan chess and mask on walls) are mine... I showed Roguey how to 3D Scan things and she got quite obsessed with it and spent 2 weeks 3D scanning everything that wasn't bolted to the floor.

The gnome is actually canadian :) ...a hand painted gift from a friend there.

I have here 503 MB of a zipped download size. It all ends up as 54.6MB in my Content folder and about 420 MB of textures with it.

Congratulations, @roguey and @Strangfate - quite an impressive debut! Looking forward to seeing what renders everyone is able to produce using this set.

Also looking forward to what you create next as a PA.

Spain, huh? I was actually guessing Netherlands, Belgium or Denmark! (Although, much of the reason I love this apartment is that so many of the rooms resemble rooms in both my own and friends' homes, growing up in the 80s/90s. I'm from Norway.)

It's blowing my mind that this was created by someone who was learning everything as she went along! Great job, @roguey!

  • WOW!! Such Effort into Detail like the hinges to the cabinet doors O_O talk about quality in work!!! and the props are AWESOME!   I love the cat tree too :) this was an instant buy for me!

Staright into the basket and then into content library :)

  • Thanks for all the interest, proceeds will go straight into upgrading her $450 laptop so she can work properly :)

Was playing around adding some post in PS to some of the renders, to see what happens:
