Hardware check for rendering

Hello, just started my first babysteps in daz3d. Last year i bought a new budget computer for gaming and i was wondering if there was a way i can upgrade my system for faster lray rendering. Right now my renders will take approx 45mins to complete. Here are my current specs:

Windows 10
Kingston 8GB DDR3
Intel Core i5-4460
Asrock H97 Anniversary
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 950 - WindForce 2x OC -2GB GDDR5

Many thanks for the advice !

Motherboard permitting, my suggestion to speed up Daz Studio Iray renders would be to get a better nVidia gfx card (more CUDA cores and VRAM) then upgrade amount of system RAM

As SimonJM said, what you need is a graphics card with as much VRAM as you can afford and ideally at least 16gb system ram.

You don't say what content you're rendering, or at what size, but not very much will fit into the 2gb VRAM you've got just now - it's quite likely that you're actually rendering using only the cpu, hence the long rendering times.

If you're doing fairly small scenes, or single character portraits, you should be able to manage with a 6gb video card.
