Safe to have both a General Release and Beta Release installed on the same machine?

I currently have 4.21 General Release installed and it works great. I just wanted to install the Beta Release as well, since I have used a batch renderer before on 4.21 and had some rare bug that happened when the queue unexpectedly stopped, that prevented me from rendering (long story).

So, I wanted to use the Beta Release as the daz version where I use the Batch Render.

Bottomline: Will having both versions on the same machine cause any issues? Do they use the same folders?

They are separate, the only thiung they share is the content and database (and if you gave them different content directory sets even that could be avoided).

Great! Thanks for the quick response. It's good to hear that the installation of the two won't cause any problems from a shared folder perspective. Is DIM still the best way to download the Beta?

Install Manager is the only way, or at least the only supported way, to install a Public Build.

No it is not that easy.

Please note that each version requires its own default resources so you need to separate that. Also some content receives updates to work with the new version, including base figures, so you need to separate that too. For example 4.21 is very different from 4.16 as shaders are concerned.

While that can be a point, it isn't really an issue with 4.21.
