I lost my hard drive - years of animation work - Gone.

Anyways, that's not a big deal anymore. But now, after reinstalling my content, whenever I launch Studio I get a Daz Connect/Postrge Error.

When I try to log into Connect (which I don't use - used it once by accident) I get the Postgre Error. Says it's not installed correctly or I don't have permission or....

Any ides?

I uninstalled it and installed it again. Hmmm...

It says it's due to a configuration change. I reinstalled my content to the same directory as before.

PostgreSQL can be very fussy about folder permissions. Assuming you don't have anything in the database, due to these issues, try changing the database location in DIM or in Edit>Preferences>CMS Settings in Daz Studio.

    Thank you, Richard.

I must admit, I'm not very Geek-worthy. Do you, perhaps, have a suggested location? That seems like exactly the place for it to be to me.

  • Pick somewhere that isn't underfoot, since it is not a user-facing location (Her be dragons!).

Hmmm... you mean, perhaps, Public Documents or something? I don't know what that means! LOL

Well, I meant somewhere you wont generally see it at all - as long as it isn't a protected location (e.g. Program Files) it doesn't, as far as I know, matter where it goes.

Sweet. Thank you. I hope it works. The only thing that doesn't seem to work because of it is Riversoft Art's Character Convertor
