Loading a M4/V4 Character in Daz Studio

Hi all,

Is it possible to load M4 and V4 characters I bought at Rendo into Daz Studio, with materials and morph injects? I cannot seem to find any information or tutorials. Is there anyone who can provide a step-by-step?

Thanks!

Oh god, I sorta remember.....  You had to load V4, then inject in a buncha base morphs and stuff that the character needs, then inject the character, then load the textures. I think. It's been a long time.

you need to add the Poser format library (runtime) to your content directory and use Powerloader in the Figures/DAZ People folder to select all the morphs you want injected

it's still easier than using Poser itself which needs them manually injected as RL_Media pointed out (plus a bat file run first to create deltas)

the exception being PMD morphs, those need Poser

You can skip Power Loader and just use the same method as for Poser, running the appropriate DzCreateExPFiles batch command, but using PowerLoader is more flexible.

The base figure and all ExP expansions do have to be in the same content directory, whichever method is used.

Usuaully (but not always) the character's INJ file will take care of both loading the morph data (if needed) and setting values, not injecting all of the morphs will save memory.

  • Thanks to all... it's on my list of things to accomplish today.
