Where is this location supposed to be?
This is apparetnly where DAZ looks when you open a scene file

More likely the path of Daz Connect. Is the service of CMS database started up?

  • It isn't a location/file on your system - it's a message pointing back to the Daz source code (.cpp - C++) which is saying that a function defined in that fiel had an unexpected failure (as opposed to an expected kind of failure, for which specific error handling may be inplace, I think). It is indicating an issue connecting to the database (PostgreSQL, used by the Content management System, which gets entries added for files you save).

that's what I was afraid of.. not only can I not update DIM (will try today) which means I can't reinstall daz... it won't make the cms connection.

If you have already installed postgreSQL with default settings, open DIM and check the Advanced Settings -  Installation tab - Content Database Base: the path should be 'C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\cms'. Then click that database like icon in the upper right corner of DIM, see if you can make cms database started.

there is currently nothing in that folder...
as for Dim it's the old version and it can't download the new one because the ssl certificates are messed up
    ===
and this is actually trival because currently it keeps moving the panes that I keep on screen 2 and 3 into the offscreen stuff and makes them disappear
and won't get much done if I can't see the content library.
everything was translocated from my old win7 machine to the new win 10 which has 2 m2 drives and it's fast ...
    but remains non-functional ---
the update issue may be causing all the cms issues ... daz won't even connect and I can re-down daz cause dim need to do it and it wants to update and can't

But thank you for the feed back... am now going to see if the download dim is fixed...
NO, dim can download but can't install because the ssl certificate is not available for the installer or wasn't last night
fresh down of DIM and it can't install because waiting for SSL certificate for installer to finish.

okay  ... the certificate work around didn't work ...
and I've never downloaded the daz connect before and as I side effect I don't have a cms connection will connect fix that?
argh... okay the certificate did work... it just stalled on the certificate part for an extended period of tiem
    ---
so dim has updated .. but it still is ignoring all the installed files and now has found them again
    so all is good
even fixed the runaway panes which were caused enlarging the window size
except now that the panes are where they should be
the still have the tiny tiny font impossible to read on new screens
but I know there are threads addressing that so will long for them

    thank you richard and crosswind...
Richard I think you can close, lock, delete etc this thread
