Make Spotlights Invisible?

I was watching a Youtube video and the guy was using spotlights in the scene, but when he was rendering or move the camera around in Iray, the spotlights were invisible.  Whenever I try to render with them, they are visible and have a black circle around them, you know, like a physical spotlight would be.  I have tried doing the "not visible in render" type thing in the parameters, but that just makes them disappear, meaning no light.  How do I do like that guy did on the video, where they are light emitters, but not visible at the same time?

Select the light and in the Parameters pane turn off Render Emitter. This doesn't affecft reflections, however, just the direct view with no obstructions.
