Allo! I am Hana and I am superbad at introductions. I am also a giant nerd, and most of this thread will probably be filled with nerdy things like tabletop characters and Star Wars.
In fact, I'm going to kick this off with a nerdy Star Wars + tabletop picture.
Backstory: My Jedi Consular is being tempted by this darksider she's swooning over (and who we're pretty sure is a Sith). She's totally in love, and he's totally playing her like a fiddle.

Hana, I don't remember Star Wars being quite so hot! Really nice job on everything you did with this image. I'm especially impressed with your posing skills!
Wish I could take all of the credit, but I started with one of the poses from http://www.daz3d.com/beloved-poses-2 (even if I did do a lot of tweaking because she's considerably shorter than he is!)
Starting with poses work great. I do that, too. But all that tweaking you did counts and it shows the effort you put in to make it believeable! Be proud. Not everyone can start with a pose and end up with something that good.
Welcome Hanabi, well I guess you will fit fine, nerdiness and star wars and funny games (pen and paper for me) are very nice things to render about!
Lovely! Love star wars (and star trek and anything that even resembles stuff like that lol) And many of us start with predetermined poses and then adjust and fidlle as necessary. Nothing at all wrong with that.
I shall happily nestle into this lovely nerdy community, then. <3
Most of my renders (prolly around 90%) are going to be tied to a roleplaying game in one form or another.
Art as therapy. Need to do something better with the tears, though.
Need to make the time to trawl all the threads in here and get to know everybody. Hope to do that soon, but RL obligations, siiigh.
I did get the time to rebuild the Rim Light Rig for Iray, though.
Cool. What did you have to do to rebuild the rig? I had't though of trying to use that in Iray.
Hi Hanabi! Nice start, and welcome to Art Studio!
@Novica - Thank you!
@Knittingmommy - It occurs to me that you may not actually have to rebuild it...I didn't even think to look if there was an option to switch Photometric to On. Basically, I just started with a torus the same size, zeroed the original one out, and placed the lights in the correct position, parenting to the new torus. Daz crashes if you try to delete the original RLR, at least on my system, so I had a window of the stable release and a window of the beta open so I could have the RLR in one and the rebuild in the other.
And it was all unneccessary, because yes, you CAN just switch Photometric to On on the lights. Head, meet desk.
