David?

I've searched this forum and can't find anything about this. I'm wondering if David will ever be brought up to date along with all the other standard DAZ characters (i.e. Michael, Victoria, Stephanie, etc.). He's been left behind at David 5. Even Stephanie has a version 6. Has he been abandoned? I'd love to see him brought up to 6 or 7.

No, rumor has it he was not a good seller so we are unlikely to see him.
You can make an awesome 7th gen version of him by mixing Michael 7, and either Lee 7, or the new Kenji 7. Dial out a bit of Michael, in dial in some Kenji, it's a great look for David 7 clone.
Linton, thanks, I'll try that. It's a shame that David is dying. He's one of my favorites.
I joined around the time M5 was about to become the latest figure. M4 and M3 were to be replaced with the amazing M5 (sadly underutilised IMO), and David 5 was were I first encountered the character. I found it quite easy to recreate him again, using a combo of other figures. While it may not be an Official David, it looks a lot like him. Would love to see your results if you are okay with sharing?
I don't have the character on my new computer in Japan, but it's surprisingly easy to make him! Good luck!
Very good idea, Linton; thank you! I'll try to make 'my' D5 with your recipe. I found that the Genesis 2 and 3 generations' males are bearing a certain likeness to David 5; so although I loved this figure I didn't miss a D6 or D7. And, after all: Older figures don't go stale and can be used even today...
Especially thanks in part to GenX2 now including support for importing stuff to Genesis 3. I imported David 5 to G3M and it does the trick nicely: David 5 transfered G3M is on the left, David 5 is on the right.
Granted, you will need to do a few minor alterations to slim him down in some parts, but overall it does the trick to get you started. (Sure, it's a pretty penny to buy the whole shebang, but it's one of those investments where it'll pay for itself the more you get used to it.) Otherwise, Linton's clone recipe is a good alternative.
