esha - "Poseable Trees with Ivy" Question

Could someone tell me what pathway this is? Take a look at the image I've uploaded and you will see. It's a demo image from esha's, "Poseable Trees with Ivy". I would love to be able to buy this pathway or trail, but I can't find it in the Daz store. I know it's not, "Forest Path, Village Road, Rock in Forest nor Mountain Trail. Can anyone help?

Thanks, Mike

Did you try contacting the artist? I'm curious to know as well, I like the idea of poseable trees, and it looks like the perfect landscape for them.

I'm not exactly sure how to contact esha and was hoping they might see my question. Heck, I would even pay for a full preloaded product with that exact seen.

I sent an email to them, I'lll let you know if I get a response. By the way, to use the email system is kind of clunky. It took me a while to figure it out.

You have to be in the forums first of all, and then if you click on the double gear icon in the upper right, and then click on "inbox", it will bring up the message window and you will have an option to create a "new message".

There is no directory unfortunately, but if you just start typing the artist name in the recipient box it will automatically show you the available matches, usually the username will be the same as the artist name. Occasionally the artist name will be different than the directory name or there will be multiple similar names, and then its just a guess.

I just got a response, the product is not sold here. I'll send you the link as I don't think I'm allowed to post it here.

You can post the name of the product, vendor and store without problem, and linking to a product when someone specifically asks for it is usually accepte.

Ok, I wasn't sure of the rules on that. In that case, the product is at runtimedna and its called "Northern Soul" by Caisson.

That is the PM system,  not an email system.   You can also access it by clicking the user name or avatar from one of their posts in the forum.

  • Ok, thank you so much.

Now if someone here at Daz could make a pathway like this, so I can purchase it here and so it will work with Daz Studio Pro. I would prefer to buy it here and that product, sadly doesn't work with DS. All the trails, or pathways sold here at Daz3D, are too smoth looking. Or they look like they are wagon trails with grass growing up in the middle. I love this, "Northern Soul" pathway, because it's got lush vegetation right up to the edge, then sort of a wonderful rocky drop off, as if over time, rain and small floods have shaped it. Just like what I would truly expect in a Sherwood Forest scene or even the places I've gone camping here in the US like Texas, or Arkansas.

Now you have got me confused,  as the Poseable trees are a DS item, and she has them working in that environement.

AS it is a RDNA product there is still the possibility that it will end up in the Daz 3D store

Lol, so sorry Chohole, but when I went over to that website and looked at the product, it said only Poser. At least I thought so. I'll look one more time. That would be cool if it ended up in the Daz Store.

  • Yeah, I'm only seeing that it's made for Poser Pro 2012 & Poser Pro 2014. Heartbreaking. But even so, we have some of the most, if not the most outstanding artists here who might would be willing to create something very similar without getting into any illegal situation.

While not the same path maybe one of these could be used:

I have to admit I was hoping it meant that it would be possible to use the trees in Poser,  rather than the way that you are looking at it.  blush

  • Thanks Charlie Judge, I do have some of those already, but it's just not the same. Don't get me wrong, those are great! But roughly they all look the same. This path is so different with cracked earth (dirt) textures and really thought out, even though it's simple. It's like it's right out of a fairy tale book. Looks like a place I would REALLY like to visit or explore.

That product will work fine in DAZ Studio. Often things are marked as made for Poser only, just because the artist has never tried it themselves DAZ Studio. If you look at the reviews for the product, the first review even says it renders fast in DAZ Studio. The only difference is you'll have to manually install it by copying to your runtime folder and you won't have meta data (it won't show up under smart content).

  • Thanks DominicTesla for that help, that is so kind of you. ;-)

It looks like the artist has the same or extremelty similar poseable trees, but made specifically for poser on rdna site:

    OOh thanks,  didn't spot that.

I use Poser as a plug-in for Bryce.
