Can we please get some HD Navel morphs for G2 and G3? Pretty please??

Drilling a hold on the belly and calling it good isnt good enough for me... I want some detail...

Anyone else want to second that?

+1. I would specially like to have a morph to make the sometimes very big navels of the G3 generation smaller - without distortion.

    Yep! :D

It doesn't have HD morphs, but it does have size changing ones.

I would buy these too considering that many who follow my work seem to be obsessed with navels.  ;)   Shape Shifter/Belly Control by Zev0 does add a lot of morphs though and I'm usually able to get the shape I want. The problem is that very few textures take the geometry into account, so the way a navel looks can end up being quite random.

That Shapely product doesn't have new morphs, they're presets that use existing morphs if I'm not mistaken.

yeh big and naff-looking, or small and naff-looking is not really much of an option.

There isn't enough geometry there to make it useful, and the HD morphs I've seen don't take it into account.

I certainly would not pay $40 (current HD price) for a full figure morph even with the button as an extra feature.

I think it's a combination of not enough geometry and lack of texture details, to be honest. Even if you subdivided the mesh it's probably not going to be possible to provide enough without adding to it somehow. Maybe a geograft would work...

I hope G4 has like 30k polys. I'm an artist and G3 take away a lot of fun from everyone.

As it sites right now G2 has 25% more polys. I believe. And even that was hardly enough to get any sort of detail. We need at least 30 on base res to really do some amazing things. Daz was built on people like me. The people who love to make artistic morphs and people... You cant make art with G3... I miss the days of Genesis 1 when we had all kind of creatures and Anthro's and Ghouls and Vampires and Trolls and stuff... What ever happened at Daz? ... Just seems that the only thing they produce anymore is another Genesis 3 Female Skin... Sorry I know this has nothing to do with HD Navel Morphs but...  it reminds me of it. Because G3 is so generic we cant even make a proper Navel.

here's a navel outie morph for you, for genesis 3 males . Just put into the morph folder in data.
I just made one for a character I am creating and wanted an outie navel :)
You will find it in the hip section of Actor

I would also like to see more HD details like navel options, but I do accept that this may be difficult or impossible with Genesis 3 having so few polys in base resolution.

I agree with Angel-Wings that by limiting non-PA Genesis 3 users to the current base resolution of less than 20k polys, DAZ3d have taken away a lot of the fun in playing with their figures. V4 (yes, released back in 2006, 11 years ago) has more than 3 times the polys! Sure the mesh has subdivision within DS, but that does not help those of us who like to play (morphing) with the mesh and are limited to doing so with the base mesh only.

I understand that DAZ3d gets tighter control over it's figures in this way; PAs are restricted to selling HD morphs through DAZ3d only. However, this makes all DAZ3d clients dependent on the DAZ3d PAs producing the HD details we want. If the PAs (or DAZ3d itself) decide that there is insufficient profit in making a particular set of morphs (such as navel morphs) the those of us who would like to see them and would be willing to make them ourselves, are left out in the cold.

DAZ3d PAs represent only a small proportion of the modelling talent that is in the 3d community, yet for Genesis 3, that's the pool of talent to which we are all limited. (No offence to you PAs but I'm sure you will agree this is true). It is not for no reason that many of the most beautiful 3d characters being produced today are still based on V4 (beautiful old lady that she is!).

Angel Wings asked for a G4 figure with a base resolution of 30k polys, I would ask for a base resolution of 100k polys or more Surely G4 should be miles better than V4. Or if DAZ3d insist on a low poly base figure for G4 then please allow us access to high poly subdivision within DS, without needing to be a PA, sell us a modelling licence.

My personal opinion is that DAZ3d are at significant risk of alienating it's core clientel by restricting access to modifying high resolution figures to PAs only. In my opinion this is providing a wide open door to the competition (such as Poser), which could win back a significant proportion of the market (us clients) if they provided a high resolution figure with equivalent features to Genesis 3.

When Genesis 4 does come out I will be looking at the figure very carefully to see where my allegience lies.
