Content Manager Showing All New

After about 3 hours of organizing, DS4.5 crashed and I had to stop and I couldn't reopen DS. So I stopped and restarted the CMS. Now all of the organizing has been reverted back and when I click on a "NEW" item or click "Mark All as Seen" nothing happens to the "New" designation. Also, folders that were created aren't showing but can't be re-created. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this and if there is any fix except deleting my database.

*UPDATE* I figured out a workaround for the new items at least. Just delete the files in Windows Explorer, click refresh on the open window of DS4, undo the deletion in Explorer and click refresh again in DS4. Still can't create folders that had been created but not saved, but it beats reorganizing all that content.
