No worries :) Let me know how you go with it all... I'm undecided at this stage... But Michael_G uses it all the time and is always a wow render kinda guy, you've prob seen his work. Make sure you get more sleep then just 3 hours again lol (It's not good for you to lack sleep :-P )
Yeah... at least I aced my computer exams today, despite the lack of sleep.
Thanks, tjohn. Ice would definitely help, but I don't have any frozen whole kernel corn or blackeyed peas right now. Those are my preferences for migraine control because they are moldable to my head, then when the migraine leaves I can get up and cook them up for supper.
Text messages are fine with friends and family, there is appropriate uses for text... But it is by no means professional, especially for serious work related conversation. To be laid off the job in a text message tells me its their "easy way out" They appear to lack the ability to do it "face to face" and if they cant do so, then perhaps they shouldn't be in management because it's a childish act.
The complications of text messaging is most noticeably the fact that read messages can easily be misunderstood due to the lack of facial expression and voice tone required for effective communication. For example, a joke can easily be misinterpreted as a offensive or angry comment. The same is true for forums and chat rooms... you see a lot of misunderstood comments, then the persons involved each trying to explain that what was said was not intended to be read that way lol
You gotta love technology LMAO. My current boss dislikes text messages, and no matter how brief the info needs to be conveyed, it's always a call or face to face. For me, that's how it should be with management.
...a couple years ago Radio Shack sent emails out to employees informing them they were being sacked.
Reminds me of the scene in Back To The Future II when Marty is informed that he has just been fired via a "live" email from his boss. Only spineless employers resort to such tactics.
Well it's Friday Evening and I am finally home. Stopped off at the local pizzaria to get a few slices for dinner. Three slices from here is almost a whole pizza compared to other places I've been. Not going to think about the workplace until I walk back in the door Monday morning (that is if I don't win the Megabucks Lotto this weekend first).
Is it bad to have bisexual or omnisexual characters in my story? I am not trying to promote it or discourage it. I am not doing it to be political correct or something. The only PC things I am are PC member and PC user.
...not at all if it is integral to the storyline and characters.
Complaint for the thread. This will sound like more than one but is really just one long one all run together.
Rendering animation still frames is one heck of a fast way to cook your PC's chip set without even trying hard. Trying to edit the said frames into a good movie format with a Freeware editor is as easy as taking a fresh peace of meat from a sharks mouth. Adding good Audio effects to the finished movie format is almost as much fun as passing a kidney stone (for the men) or pushing something the size of a watermelon out of your uterus (for the ladies). Wanting GREAT software (that cost tons) to make the last two things easier when your living on rice and beans just so you can have a really NICE Thanksgiving dinner BITES THE BIG ONE.
Accidentally finding out that you REALLY Really really like animating after spending every extra penny you've had for the last four years on getting better at single image renders (I never get better, so hush) Just chaps my arse.
Rant, Complaint, what ever this was is now over. Blah!

Lazy or scared or weird or small or something. Someone I know was sacked and escorted from her desk and out the door by three security guards at the end of her shift a while ago, you would think that kind of stuff can only happen to bad guys, but nooooooo.
It seems no matter how we look at it, being let go by a company is no fun. I must say my experience of being let go and having someone stand over you to make sure you don't destroy any of your work is no fun experience, so maybe an email ain't too shabby after all.
Been boned without notice a few times but always alongside others AFAIR. A weird thing that's happened to me personally was having repo men suddenly turn up to work and take it all away heh :)

3 Security guys?!? My god... that IS overkill and very much disrespectful to the individual! The ONLY time a person who is fired from the workplace that should be escorted out is IF that person has made a scene in disapproval on their own account and that that person is blatantly refusing to leave the premises. Having security remove the individual without cause and such a valid reason, brings unwanted attention to that person, effectively embarrassing and humiliating them. That is certainly shabby management if such cause from the ejected individual did not play a part in that decision.
imagines breakfast tray over the internet one day.
there's no breakfast place within walking distance. wahh, not even mikiD's.

is hockey popular in the UK?
sometimes i think i'm a Canadian trapped in the body of an American, cuz the Canadian anthem makes me feel emotional sometimes. "O Canada aaa"
well, the Whitney rendition of "O say can you see" makes for an emotional overload. the Roseann version, not so much.
hopes you are doing OK again by now :)
yoos feel better, okay?!
What do you mean, I cry every time I hear Roseanne sing.
(Hug to Whitney)

well, tears can cover a wide range of emotion. :)
it's an emotional day, tears for Whitney *snifl. "the greatest luuuv of all .. " ...
Are you talking Hockey or Ice hockey here. Hockey is a sport that is (or certainly was) played in just about every British school.
