DAZ has offered up many great creatures but has yet to have some desired by those such as myself. . .As in the subject title, Yokai (Oni, Kappa, etc).

    Some of the facial masks might help, you can also use creature creator to make some of your own. You can stretch necks beyond their limit by turning of Limit Parameters, and some of RawArts' creatures might be morphable into some Japanese monsters and yokai.

    I wonder, are you a fan of Natsume Yuujinchou? Season 5 is out in October, really looking forward to it! It's all about Yokai

    Nope, haven't watched that one. Have watched/fan of the "Nura" series. I guess since DAZ has other creatures (werewolves, etc) that some yokai could be made for fans of them.

    Creature creator is great for this sort of thing. Hands can be made longer, clawed, or 3 fingered. Since most Yokai are vaguely humanoid, it makes for some interesting combinations.

    Haven't heard of Nura, off to look it up.

    Yeah but that doesn't have features such as the water-filled indentation/dome on top of a kappa/water imps head.

    You mnight be able to create a primitive, then texture it with a water shader and set it to parent inside the hair line of the Kappa. Can use the deformer tool to help with this process.

    I know this picture, seen it many times. Used to scare me a little kid.
