  • You should just keep a running thread going like a lot of us do.  Its a great way to see your progress over time and its also a great way to get advice (but only if you want it lol) and also a great way to just get to know everyone who hangs out around here.

Ben, here's how to put the images in your posts.

For example, your first image you would click on the image and get the url  http://www.daz3d.com/forums/uploads/FileUpload/ac/93d51278359865b2f2cbb8cbc89727.jpg

Then go up above the textbox that you type into and select the image icon to the right of the flag. Post that url in the tab that says Image Info where it says URL then in the tab where it says Link  URL. I make the height 575 or 600 so I know most people can see the image without scrolling. (And when they click on the image it's full size.)  In the Link tab,  In the Link tab where there's a dropdown selection, chose New Windlow (_blank) so when people click on the image, they don't leave your thread or have to Go Back. They simply X out.

Are you doing Iray or 3DL?  In Iray, go to Tone Mapping and set your Film ISO to 165 and  your Exposure Value to 13.65 to get a good place to start.  And read this tutorial if you get time- it tells you what those sliders do. Will help with the "too dark."  I like the posing of the woman sitting down, looks very natural and not stiff.

The first post of my thread in this forum has other links to helpful tutorials, including Depth of Field.  Welcome to Art Studio!

Nighttime Kiss. I am using 3DL instead of Iray because I dont want to wait for Iray to get done. So I prefer 3DL better.
