Thanks for your help to date.

I am using a HP pavilion desktop. The OS is windows 7. On the download I am presented with the following;
1/ noggins poser owl - usingZipFiles.pdf
2/ noggins poser owl - IMOOOO3784_noggin-s-poser-owl.zip
I choose the latter (2)

This downloaded with 'goforfiles' which rather surprised me.
In my downloads I clicked on the compressed file, opened it, then 'extract all'
I browsed to Daz studio-windows-64-bit and 'extracted' again
The file then shows up in Favourites as a 'compressed Zip 7,829 KB and I am back to square one.

You should save your ZIP files to a Download folder. Windows 7 can open ZIP files, and show you what is inside them, failing that, there is 7Zip and a few others which are also free.

What I do, is extract the ZIP file to a Temporary folder on my Desktop, so that I can see what it contains. Inside there is usually a folder called Content. Inside it should be some other folders, one of which is called Runtime (the Poser content folder). Select everything inside the extracted Content folder, and drop it into the My Library folder. Make sure that you are inside the My Library folder, and then drop the contents of the Content folder in there.

Windows 7 will then merge all of the folders, and everything will end up in the correct place.

DId you download the PDF file, which tells you how to use these new zip files ?

IF you download that you may find the help you need already there.

When I download and unzip one of the zip format files to a test folder I get a Content folder and a file named "Manifest.dsx

Inside the Content folder I get a folder called "readmes" and another called "Runtime" and in side the Runtime folder I find the normal Poser style runtime structure, ready to be Copied and pasted or dragged and dropped wherever I want to put it.

THe products that come in the new zip files are all older products, and need to be in the Poser formats prt of your DS directories.

I have taken advice and gone into the 'runtime' and pasted them into Daz my library, making sure it was open.

I also tried the other comment but in each case nothing has happened.

This is the first time I have had this problem with a ZIP file.

Maybe it is because its an OBJ.

I have tried everything including asking KNOWHOW who are in themselves quite expert.

So now I shall ask for a refund

    Thanks for your help

This is a full figure, meaning that within the runtime folder you will have A geometry folder, which will does indeed include an obj. however this is not the folder from which you will load the charater into your scene.

You will also have a Libraries folder, and within that you will find "character" and "Pose" folders and a Textures folder. It is the Character that you need to load, which you will find in Your library / Poser formats.

To use the figure you need to Go to your characters folder

It does appear that you really do not know how to use your content at all, and need further instructions in how to use this sort of product within DS.

How much have you actually used DS before this. You really do seem to need some more help, rather than simply returning products because you can't work out how to use them.

Did you ever download the PDF and study it, as I suggested.?

I am quite confused about this KNOWHOW who you say you have asked. They appear to be some sort of online tech support, and the chances are that they will not know as much about how to install DAZ 3D content as the people in this forum do.

And please do stop scattering your queries all over different forums, once again I have needed to merge 2 threads, in order to follow your conversation. Please reply in this thread. so we can help you further.
