Grindhouse Style Thread

Hi All,

Thought I'd share a couple of my grindhouse-style experiments to see what you think. If any of you guys have any Daz shots you've turned into old looking stills or posters, feel free to add them.

This looks like fun!  Not what I would usually do but will be watching to see what else comes up.

  • This is excellent! Your pseudo-screencaps really do look like stills from a movie trailer. I'm starting to think about ideas for fake lobby cards. What did you use for your post-production work?

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for your comments! In total I used Daz3d 4.9 and Adobe After Effects.

The Ghoul (The Zombie/HDR Prosets Urban)

    Killer Car (Interceptor/The Old Warehouse)

Would love to see your lobby cards when ready!

I love these!  Like Mysterio says they do look like they are from film and honestly when I came into the thread I thought I was going to click on a video. And I really love the "From the Makers of.." and "Starring.." blurbs laugh

Ok, hopefully this will keep the thread alive and doesn't look too bad. Deanpw is a hard act to follow!

I'm not quite sure how to post a link with a thumbnail like other folks, so some advice in this would be appreciated.

    Thanks EvilQueeny!

Love it MightyMysterio! You can easily picture that as a 70's ad in Honk Kong. Spot on!

(With regards to the thumbnail: Attach File is under the dialogue box above the 'post comment.' )

Once you copy the url for your picture click on edit on your comment then click on teh little picture icon (looks like a square with a mountain and a sun) and paste the link there.  Change the size of the largest side of you pictures to 800 so it fits right then hit enter.
