Not exactly a render...

... But it is something I did in 3D!

Yes, I printed out the Elven Thrower from my "Pointwork" set, and gave it a chrome paint job. Now to detail the "wings" in gold...

One of my older brothers did 'The Last Supper' in hammered copper once. Your arrowhead is awesome.

  • Which hair is that?

I would have printed it in Moldlay and then turned it over to my son...a couple cast in bronze would be nice.

Yeah, but all I have is PLA and ABS. That there was printed in PLA in four parts, glued together and gap-filled with Bondo glazing putty, and given a coat of Valspar spray metallic chrome. :D

And nonesuch00, it's a throwing knife, not an arrowhead. :D 'Tis a little large for an arrowhead. :)

    Maybe not for troll arrows...

    Or siege engines...

A spear I would of guessed but not a throwing knife.

I shouldn't be plugging it here, but it's in my "Pointwork" set in the store...

Looking good! And you can plug it here all you want, we're plugging everything so people can find it easily if they want.

Yes, but it's mine, and would turn this into a "Commercial" thread, which is not allowed in this forum.

Would have to move the thread to Commercial...instead of Art Studio.

But...if someone else were to do more than mention which set, then it would probably be okay...weird, I know, but 'thems the rules'.

So, anyone else have a 3D printer, and print out something interesting?

  • mjc1016mjc1016 Posts: 15,001

A big 'not yet'....on the printer.

Oh, I wish!  Not something I've managed to save up for, I'm afraid.  I have a lot of things I'd like to try printing, though! :)  That is a very cool throwing knife!
