Hello, hello!
This is the thread for posting final and WIP images, and discussing the bi-daily prompts for Dazember. If you upload to the gallery, tag images with dazember16daily Gallery link: http://www.daz3d.com/gallery/images/?tags=dazember16daily
Due to changing work schedules and flu/cold nonsense, I can't run this as a daily thing anymore, but there are all the prompts for December for your viewing pleasure!

For example: the image I did a few days ago that then inspired this prompt!
Here's what I'll be working on, later tonight after work. I've got some Mortem Vetus products that I think will work well. Might play with some Godrays or a backlight too.
Ooh, looking forward to your pic :3 I just discovered godray props recently and man oh man. So cool
I have a few more planned that I may or may not get to, but this was the one I wanted to do first:
Inspired by the lyrics to one of my favorite songs. This render took two hours, give or take, which is actually a huge accomplishment for me. I get too wrapped up in tweaking things and while it's easy for me to keep things simple with a single person in a photoshoot setting, something with plants and animals and people oh my! starts to drag on and on. So, go me!
What a lovely sunset! I just picked up Simple Godrays and Expanded Godrays today in one of the sales. Was thinking about using that in the Game of Thrones render. I've finally got a chance to sit and play for a little bit before I pass out. Hopefully I'll have something to post in the morning. What a crazy evening here!
here's a fun render I just did in Carrara.. rendered quicker than the song took to play
Yellow Brick Road
Very rough draft. It's grainy, stopped at 76% because I have to get to work soon. The original pose is surprisingly hard to duplicate, so I'm working on fixing that first, then I can tweak clothes, hair, lighting, background. I tried using the Mortem Vetus stuff, which is wonderful, but it looked too grungy. Lord Stark needed something more refined. Still not 100% on the clothing, especially the gloves. I know I've got outfits close to the original picture, but trying to find them is the real challenge! My 3D people have better wardrobes than I do. I'd like to add godrays too. Will play some more with it tonight! Thank goodness it's almost the weekend!
got one finished... well its rather crude, but that is coming with the challenge, isn't it?
here is a cover from Pink funhouse, which I covered
original is this
We Want a Rock by They Might be Giants
"Where was I? I forgot
The point that I was making
I said if I was smart that I would
Save up for a piece of string
And a rock to wind the string around
Everybody wants a rock
To wind a piece of string around
Everybody wants a rock
To wind a piece of string around..."
Carrara render.
Loving everyone's renders! And a good way to get some new music into my playlists ;)
Another album cover:
I love her hands but I couldn't capture it quite right on the render. When I started browsing through hundreds of fabric shaders to find the perfect one for her dress and contemplated building a yard outside the windows to make it looked perfect, I knew it was pencils down time :D
Sorry for the late update, this morning got hectic!
I decided to try and answer the question: "what would a fairy think of human coffee?"
Will post ms. fairy tonight!
Huh. What an interesting prompt. So many possible directions to go!
Ok, here she is!
I really really need to get into the spirit of 'only 48 hours' and stop fussing. Inktober! nanowrimo!
"What would a fairy think of human coffee?"
Some fairies love it! She's having two cups and two doughnuts. Also, some advice for baristas, save the 'bull in a china shop' remarks until after he's had his coffee!
Wow what a great choice @nattaruk, I certainly would not mess with baristas at all untill he had his coffee!!!
Everyone's pictures feature faires, coffee, and strong emotions which was totally not intentional (I was confusing, I meant my idea was for fairy coffee, not the "official" prompt) and yet so awesome!!
You're just so inspirational!
I got a go at the coffee fairy theme as well:
Coffee coloured What, you wanted to drink that?
That's adorable. I love everybody's take on the idea, all so different!
Ok, new prompt up in the main post: "Dark and creepy nooks and crannies"
Have fun!
That would be my teenager's bedroom! Ha!
Dark and Creepy
Oh wow, natturuk, very nice!
That squirrle's like "omg look out behind you"
Sadly, I don't know if I'll get a prompt done. I somehow broke my daz install and it thinks all these things are installed except they aren't and I can't download them again so uh... :( I'm doing a fresh install now and fingers crossed.
After a lovely (but exhausting) day volunteering at the local community college with the dogs, it's time for the next prompt!
Unlikely friends and/or unwilling allies
Ohhh I need to set a couple hours aside for this one. Though actually if I make it all by mix-andm-matching stock I have, and don't get caught up in my crazy light experiments... maybe less than an hour.
This is one of those prompts where I have oodles... and oooooodles of options
Still redownloading my library but scraped something together, finally!
My turn! Same kind of thing!
