Do you need some wounds, scratches, cuts, bruises and blood for your Genesis 3 based Characters?

This product comes with lots of different LIE materials for all body parts to add different kinds of wounds, bruises, cuts and blood to all your Genesis 3 based characters.

The LIE presets work with all Genesis 3 Male and Female based characters. You can of course use several different presets at the same time to mix and combine them.
Since the materials are LIE layers you can, if wanted, easily adjust the position of them in the Layered Image Editor. All layers can be freely repositioned in the Layered Image Editor to have it exactly where you need it.

Overall 141 LIE presets for ALL your Genesis 3 Male and Female based characters.
All wounds have been created using photo references of real wounds.

This product works with Iray, 3Delight, Luxrender and all other render engines supported by Daz Studio.

  • Much as I love LIE presets, is there a possibility of these being geometry shells as well?  I often run into problems when the LIE preset doesn't share the same UV layout as the base figure.  At this point, I just create my own geo-shell and create my own transmap, but it's a nuisance.  Just my two cents... :)

I don't know if it applies in this case, but if the wounds use displacement you pretty much have to go with LIE.

    Very cool!

  • Looks interesting. Would also find a product of use which gave singular, 'clean' slit-shaped wounds of various different sizes, so that a character can look as if they are undergoing the surgical procedure of the artist's choice (whether by traditional or laser-based scalpel tools).

They LIE wounds/blood use 4 channels: Base Color, Transluency Color, Glossy Color and Top Coat Color (this is to have the wounds look not so flat and more detailed)

Geometry shells are not included in this product. Sorry.
They are made for the Base Male/Female UV but work of course with the other male and female UVs as well like Michael 7, Vic 7 and so on. But the actual position of the wound/blood may vary depending on the used UV. But the position can be easily adjusted in the LI Editor.

Are these similar to the sets sold at renderosity?

  • The blood might be similar for some layers but ALL wounds are different. It is released now here, so you can have a look at the promos showing all wounds as thumbs for comparison.

  • Relased now

Glad you like them :) Yeah, the set will be here , so no haste ;) Actually the sets on Rosity were the ones I made before this one here. For the ones on Rosity I used photoshop brushes, for this one here I used photo references of real wounds. But they can be combined of course too.

  • Purchased, and am enjoying.  Is there hopes of a package designed specifically for making the hands messy, with scraped knuckles, cuts, bruises, scabs, scars, black fingernails, dirt under the nails, etc.?  I find most products tend to ignore the hands (and the feet), and that bothers me.  Usually those get dirty/bloody first...

Good point. Badly needed. I really need a progression of muddiness or bloodiness for the hands, but I can make do (poorly) by layering existing LIE. Otherwise, its postwork (which is tedious for multiple images) since I am unconvinced by any existing dirt/blood shaders in this store.

Thank you. Glad you like it.
There are some layers for the hands included but since it's LIE you can move any of the wounds to the hands if you like.

  • I'll have to look. I only saw "ARMS".

  • here for instance

but the male version does not come with wounds on hands, that right. there you might need to relocate the arm wounds to the hands.

Is there any chance this can also be used with Genesis 8 characters?

    Hello,
you actually can by applying the presets to a Genesis 8 character. It is just material presets, they are not limited to be added to the character made for originally.
The UV is varying a bit so the position varys too maybe and some adjustments may be needed. But generally it should work.
Since it is a G3 product it has not been tested with G8 and the functionality cannot be guaranteed nor is support provided however. Hope you understand.

RiversoftArt, Karth and me a working on a new product for Genesis 8 Males , it will include way more beside wounds and blood, band aids and bandages too and all with a panel driven script to adjust lots of stuff.

Attached a quick test render with a wounds applied to G8M base.
