PNGs with transparency

I have a hair model and the texture map is a PNG with an transparent background but it comes out opaque when I apply it to the model. Does Daz require a separate opacity image or is there something I need to do to get it to work with the transparency of the texture map?

    Did you apply the texture to the template for the hair? The transparent part should not be on the model at all unless it's meant to be merged together with another hair texture perhaps.

    You need a TransMap for Opacity.
