Alien model

edited December 2016 in Art Studio

Recently, on Poser, I've been having a go with making the female model, well, less female. Its experimental, but I'm hoping it'll work well in the end.

I've been redoing the model just earlier, by carefully reducing the breast and waist size, and altering the male body appearance.

Also, I've changed the skin texture and highlight on it, so that the androgynous model would be wearing latex or pvc. Don't know what you think.

  • ...In case anyone wants to know, I got the skins from Darkworld on Renderosity, thinking it could be ideal for for this type of project. Apart from that, its the V4 figure on Poser 10.

I'm hoping to alter lighting and perhaps add scenery, unless someone can offer advice at all.

hey, I think you have an interesting project here and you made a good start. I would think the skin is a bit too glossy and looks a bit like plastic. I don't own poser, so I cant give you advice how to do it but I belive there are some dials for spacularity, glossyness and or reflectivity.

Other than that I think the makeup is a bit contradictive to your intentions. from the suits I like the black on with the turtle lines best.

  • I've altered the face. eyes, changed the hairstyle. Applied Raytracing reflection on the skinsuit itself.

  • Here's my 2 cents worth: First a question. Are you trying to make a genderless figure, or a figure which has an equal balance of male and female characteritics? Personally I don't think it's possible to create a 'gender-less' humanoid figure, there will always be attributes of a humanoid figure which indicate a gender. I'd be curious to hear your take on that subject though, as it seems like you are exploring it through this project.

Second, I think green skin is a good choice. Pink is female, blue is male, green is...green. I think you could bump down the specularity though quite a bit. Last thing, I think the pose is super feminine and could be a little less 'swishy.'

I'll be curious to see where this goes!

That's quite good. I think she looks like Carrie Fisher.

Thanks for pointing something out. At the moment, I just like to experiment on creating an alien, but androgynous figure with equal characteristics of a male and female on the head and body. Only the V4 figure has been used, with morphs++ bits thrown in it.

As for the poses, I admit the pose is a little too feminine, but I'll look through the preset poses I have on the program, although there are a few m4 poses I could try out, with adjustments here and there.

Also, are you referring to the bump on the skin that has raytracing applied? I'll see what I can do.

Funny, I think the figure looks a bit like Majel Roddenberry.

Doing further alterations to the face and body. I've made a different face map, covering up the eyebrows.
