wow, everybody is having good renders already, that portal is just beautiful @Luci45 and the framed ogre is a great idea, he looks so happy there, lol.
And that Mermaid looking in is just fantastic!
Up to now I'm running blanc on ideas for frame but there is still some month left so maybe it'll come to me later.

LOL, yes but I guess I can't enter that one, its old, reminds me that I should make a new one...

Thank you! Yep, that ogre loves to be in the limelight. You may not have seen the last of him...LOL.

Thank you Linwelly. I had a moment of inspiration and was actually able to make it work.
This month's renders are awesome! I really love the mermaid - what a clever idea! Turns out that this month's theme fits a project I started working on a couple of days ago, so for the first time, I've got something to post. I'm tweaking poses and doing a final render before I post, but I had to say "Wow!"
So that's how it got the name "Skullcrusher Ogre"?
Great choice of character. We see ogres way too seldom!
Haha! Thanks! Believe it or not, I didn't even think about the relevance of "Skullcrusher" when I made this. I just wanted to make him fit within the frame of the wall, in a humorous way. So I thought, why not have him stand on skulls instead of rocks? :)
My two granddaughters are one of my favorite sources of inspiration. For Christmas, I used FaceGen to create fantasy portraits of each of them, and create a new face morph for each of them every few weeks to capture the changes as they grow up. This time, I used the Genesis 3 mesh, and used morph dials to shape a complete form for each of them. This one captures them in their favorite mode - arguing with each other over how to build something with Legos.

Isn't that how some of the best ideas happen?
You are so right! Thanks for the encouragement. Great work with the render of your granddaughters!

Thanks! They love seeing themselves on my monitor screen, and playing "paper dolls" - picking out clothes and accessories for their "models".
Thanks, Sapphirewild and deeleelaw57. Oh, I should say that the "frame" is the second render of them that I set up to use as a the texture on the TV screen. Also - the long-haired one actually lives with me more than half of each week, so I don't have the option. Her MOM is the one that spoils her and sends her home :D ... I thought I was long done with stepping on stray Legos in the carpet! I can't wait to see what others do with their Frames.
Nice new additions! Seems like people have Djinn-fever all over the place ;)

Experimenting with stuff. Not sure how happy I am with this, but hey, it's the idea that counts!
Dimi, framed by some walls, gates and lights. Oh, judging by his grin, he may haveset up some.. prank here or there, too. Perhaps he.. framed some competitor thief or unsuspecting guard something ;)
(PNG, because the JPEG was horrible when uploaded)
Nice! Great takes on "frame" Mori_mann and Linwelly. I love the djinn eyes and makeup on Linwelly's... and so much love for getting the lighting right for the darker skin.
Why are you not happy mori_mann, it looks very good to me.
I wanted the framing by the walls/gates/floor to be more pronounced and the lighting as a kind of secundary more subtle framing. It turned out the other way around. Making the lighting more subtle made the overall image too dark. I considered resizing the environment elements, but that would look silly, so left it at that. So it's more the effect that I'm not happy with than the image itself :)
@chameleonsdream Kids love to play dressup. Playing virtual dressup lets them really use their imaginations and is less messy.
@Linwelly Clever idea. I know nothing about djinn but I am guessing they can make themselves disappear? (Sounds like something I would do in the same situation )
One of the best things I learn here in this monthly competition and throughout the galleries and forums is thinking outside the box. I'm much more analytical than creative, so I really have to push myself to come up with ideas for scenes. So when I say something like "very creative" it isn't just a trite expression. Many of you have such a gift in expressing yourselves through art that it just blows me away in what you create. You all inspire me.

Great expression on that mermaid Kismet! It really shows she's focusing on peeking through.
Some nice framing there, Kismet.
I'm trying to persuade my rogue to get framed, but.. he's running off all the time. Attention span of a goldfish, that one.
This is very cool! Nice work.

Thanks Isidorn. I just imagined how I look whenever I am looking for the dog in the backyard in the middle of the night.
Try nailing his feet to the floor.
Thanks dawnblade.
Some fantastic renders so far this month wow!!!
I will have mine done within the next few days I hope, then it is rendering time for it lol!!!

Amazing render of your grandchildern Chameleonsdream!!!
Very Nice Chameleonsdream. Grandchildren are so much fun to spoil and then send them home, just like our grandparents did.

Titled: Bring It Into Focus For Me!
All right! Very creative!
I like it, mori_mann!
