A dumb question about Desktops and notebooks...

Apologies in advance if this question has been asked and answered before :red:

I love D|S and it now drives me nuts when I can't work on my renders when I'm not home :P

What I'd like to do is work on renders away from home. Am thinking of buying a notebook and the question is would a MacBook or windows notebook be better in terms of D|S file compatibility with my workstation? Am working on the assumption that I'll use an external HDD drive so I can swap files between the two.

My workstation has the following specs:

i7-3770K
Antec Kühler H2O 920
Asus Sabertooth Z77
32 Gb RAM
Quadro 4000
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

The answer might be obvious, but not to me :red:

If you're already on windows you should stick with.

Otherwise 'yule' be introducing an unnecessary level of translation and a duplicate but different set of installers!
