Certain Downloads Not Installing
I'm using the latest version of DAZStudio on Windows 7 x64. I have bought quite a lot of content for DAZ but every so often one of the downloads will not install. I bought the Genesis Battle Ready Bundle. Everything installed ok except LegionGenesis_1.4_trx. I ran the installer but nothing happens. I tried this several times but still nothing happens. I've tried to install it with admin rights. I even shut down the computer and then restarted and then tried to install it but still no luck.
This has happened with a few other files and I've tried re-downloading them but it doesn't help. Why does this happen with certain files and how do I solve it? I can't install the Legion for Genesis at the moment. Incredibly frustrating!

I am aware of people have had similar issues downloading with Internet Explorer 8 a while back, if that is you, try Internet Explorer 9, Google Chrome or Foxfire web browsers.
Thanks for your reply. I'm using Chrome and tried downloading the files again but it didn't seem to help. The file doesn't seem to work when I click install. I get the usual message from win7 asking if I want to install the file. I click 'yes' but nothing happens.
I have that bundle. Post the filenames and sizes and I'll see if they match my installers. If they have been updated, I'll download and try and install them to see if I can replicate the problem.
Thanks! The problem file is 19.6MB and it's called:
13761_LegionGenesis_1.4_trx.exe

You're not getting the full file. I just reset and downloaded 13761_LegionGenesis_1.4_trx.exe and it's 79,769 KB (79.8MB). Now that DAZ is sending the file size when the download is initiated, are you seeing this image below that says 77.8MB? (Windows reports 2MB more) IF you are, I have seen others suggest to clear your browser cache files and try downloading again.
Actually the sizes are the equivalent - you need to divide by 1,024 each time you move up a unit, and 79,769/1,024 is 77.899.
You're right! This explains why some of the installers aren't working. I would never have known this without your help. Thanks! I wish the 'my downloadable products' section listed the file size to prevent mistakes like this from happening.
Is there a way to check the correct file sizes of the files I've bought without downloading them all over again? The order confirmation email doesn't list the file sizes either.
At least I know now what the problem is if this happens again in the future.
UPDATE: I've gone through all my files to check that the installer starts. Everything is in working order now.
