Copy Paste and landing point ?

He llo,

i have a couple of questions. (working with DS4)

1 now i'm working wit larger scenes it gets quit enoying that objects loaded to the scene "land" on a fixed spot witch is mostly not in view.
So it takes a lot of moving to get the models in the right place.

Is there a way to select the point where loaded models land into the scene yourself ? Or a move into view command ?

2 Often i want to duplicate a model in my scene, for example a wall or a ground segment with adjusted surface and sizes. But i have found no way to do a copy and paste of models i a schene.
At the moment i
- remove al but the required model from the scene,
- save that as a schene,
- Load the original scene
- Merge the model into the scene.
- Move the object from the landing point to the place it want it.

But i thenkt there must be an easyer way. I there ??

If you hold down alt(win)/opt(Mac) and drag the item from the library you will get a marker showing where it will load that tracks your mouse - just make sure you release the mouse button before releasing the key when you want to load it.

Instances or Geoemtry Shells will let you make copies - both are in the Create menu.
