Thanks. For expressions, do you want to save them as "universal controls?" (9.) what is a universal control? Also, how do you add a picture of the expression and a color for the slider? And if you're using a merchant resource for a portion of the expression (ie: a Handspan morph) and want to create an expression set for possible sale using that morph, would the buyer need to own the merchant resource to use the expression pose/slider or would it be usable by anybody? Thanks.
By universal I meant available on all figures, rather than just on a single special figure - in this case, for an expression, you are more likely to want it available on all so use File>Save as>Support Assets>Moprh Asset to save.
You could bake any merchant resource moprhs to a single morph by setting those (and nothing else), exporting as OBJ, then importing via Moprh Loader pro (and again, saving as a morph asset) before using the ERC Freeze route to add that and any non-merchant resource moprhs to the controller. As long as the use was permitted under the terms of the Merchnat resource you would then include both morph assets (from Data\Daz 3D\Genesis 3\Female\You\Your product\, for Genesis 3 female, for example) in your product - which would not require the merchnat resource but would require any other sets used.
Hi Richard,
I tried following your instructions and was partially successful in creating an expression in the Pose Control Slider. However, the sliders, though they appeared successfully saved (after the ERC Freeze route), disappeared once I deleted the character.
So I tried your other suggestion -- make it universal via File>Save as>Support Assets>Morph Assets. Not sure where the exact location of the saved morph should be. Also, I couldn't find the dialogue for 'new property' to be checked in the Morph Asset Save Option box (see attached) as (per #9 "You probably don't want this as a universal control, since not every shoe set willw ant the same values, but if you do File>Save as>Support Assets>Morph Asset and in the dialogue check just the new property")
I would be grateful for some direction on saving (universal) expression morphs to the Pose Control Slider.
Thanks
By new property, it is meant whatever you named the new property. Location of the morph should generally be in data\DAZ 3D\"figure name"\Female\Morphs\"Create a folder here"
So as an example data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs\RacerDC or data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female 8_1\Morphs\RacerDC
Added an image for an example, in case a picture is better than words lol
Thanks KD, I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
