Have you tried building Carrara Plugins in Visual Studio 2017?
I was able to build sample plugins with Visual Studio 2015 by selecting
(Visual Studio 2012 - Windows XP (v110_xp) Plafrom Toolset option uder
General Property Pages.

No I haven't. I must say I've stopped with the 2012 edition. This one works for sure and I didn't feel the need to go further
I was hoping to see if C++ 11 and C++ 14 ISO standards may work in newer versions for new code and productivity etc.
I can easily understand that. In the other hand, there is so much left behind in this SDK that I'm happy enough the 2012 version was working :-).
Thankfully it still works with 2012:). Hopefully we can get new SDK soon.
