I was shopping the daz store today for a first aid kit , or band aids or bandages I can use to put on a kids arm . band aid would be preferred.  and in my search in all the daz store. there is no such thing I could find. I thought art collaborations had a first kit but checking their store i could not find one.  other 3d stores do not offer band aids either that i could find   . So would band aids & or a first aid kit of useable supplies be something that vender or PA maybe interested making to sell.?Is it worth anyones while to make such a prop set?

Anyway that is my suggestion ,

thanks

Somewhat similar..  duct tape strips that would conform to the surfaces they're laid on...

@Ivy - it’s funny you should bring this up! I was working on exactly this (a morphing Band Aid style adhesive bandage) for my March freebie.  Keep an eye on the Freebies thread; if all goes well I’ll have it all setup in DS and sometime Sunday. I just need to finish setting up the materials in DAZ Studio, create the thumbnails and package it for distribution.

could you perhaps use a decal of one on a geometry shell or a LIE image?

it only need be a picture with an opacity mask, the former can be offset to add depth

This may take longer than I thought. surprise

I gave up on rigging it and am going with morphs.  The downside is that I can't get it to smoothly move into a complete circle with a morph so I am going to have to model a separate prop to have one that can go around fingers too. That's pretty easy though so I should still have it done tomorrow.  I'll start a thread in the freebies section when I have it ready, but I wanted to show what I have so far and make sure it's the kind of thing you are looking for.

I tried  the geometry shell thingy . but it didn't work out well.  So If I'm gonna have to use a shell geometry I mise will just stick with doing band aids in post work . I just wanted easy prop i could animated  as in "pulling off a band aid on a arm or cheek"  I can create any morphs on a prop my self using the dform or weight map tool..  But in my limited  experience using  geometry shells it always requires that I deform the character to match any morph i make to the shell, unless someone got a work around for it..  But I thought  i might just make a a simple rectangle pane prop and warp it with deform tool and texture it with a picture of a band aid. and see how that works.

Thanks guys for the help .

    You're welcome. laugh

Getting them to bend was a little trickier than I thought it would be, but I learned some things in the process that will help me out with a bigger project I have planned, so it was a win-win. wink
