Secret Valley [Iray worlds, early 2017]... first try!
I'm fairly happy overall with this lush set from Magix101 in the DAZ store. A few quibbles, which probably stem from my not having the faintest clue of what I am doing with the relatively complicated geometry, (or so it would seem) and various emissions, and so have less to do with the model itself. Camera angle and screen area in my test render didn't seem to quite suit me, so I'm working on rebuilding the top of the image, especially on the right side, to show more of the trees and sky.
Once I get that done I will probably draw some matching extra greenery in Corel Draw say, and I'll flesh out the bottom right corner a bit. Or I'll extrude some more of those thin strands, using Hexagon, and I'll export them back into DS 4.8 here... whatever. Just my personal preference; I'm not trying to imply anything about the included scenes that come with the model.
FWIW this here render took me about 18 hours. JPEG file is heavily compressed for posting here. Please see my "Parkland... first try" thread as well as I added some comments about the lighting, and also some notes on the animated GIF format - forums software doesn't seem to like animated GIFs etc.

Its so wonderful I have no words, its beyond amazingness, mate!
So bad I didnt bought when it was on sale, anyways, I couldn't wait 18 hours to render :( I am less patient, even all that I still very interested on your next creative aproachments to this set !
Heh heh, thanks. I told you it was lush! I want to stress that my computer is relatively old & low on RAM - that's what's causing the slow renders. **There is** a newer box in the room here where I'm typing, and it's got 8 GB of RAM and dedicated Nvidia graphics... currently I'm in, ah, negotiations to try and horn in on some quality render time!
Ok the fix is in, below. Next-stage render. In my "story line" there's a moat (external link to a JPEG file) around my dog's castle in Scotland, and this here scene is down the road a bit, a shady nook where the moat sort of peters out, leaving just a little pond. The iray lights are nice but I'm pretty new to this format; showing the castle in the distance seems to be a rather hard thing to do. Anyway...
