Starting DAZ afresh

As I have progressed with learning DS4 I have wrongly built a messy file structure that is not strictly DAZ with the resultant questionable results.
I would like to clear everything out and reinstall following defaults and recommended actions.
Do I use Windows uninstall or do the DAZ uninstalls do everything?
Will *.duf files be deleted and if not will they work with the reinstalled DS4?.
Does it matter where I save my duf files?

It shouldn't matter how you uninstall.
.dug files that were part of the installation will be removed, those you created yourself won't - but they will load with blocks instead of items if you try using them without reinstalling the content.
No, it doesn't - but if you want access to them through the Content Library/Smart Content you should save them in a DAZ Studio content directory, not in the \Data or \Runtime folders.
