How do I save a scene's subset as a prop?

For example, I load in a really cool apartment, and there is this one couch that I like, and I want to use it in my other projects. How do I "make" it a prop for future uses, instead of having to delete everything except that coach and then load it every time as a scene subset? Any advice?

No need to delete stuff - just use File>Save as>Scene Subset and in the option dialogue check the stuff you do want to save.
