Adding a new bone with Weight Map Brush

edited April 2017 in New Users

Hi, all!

I forgot, how to add a new bone to the character with Weight Map :).

Look, I've added a new bone with Joint Editor, after that I pressed Memorize Figure Rigging, selected Node Weight Map Brush, brushed Z rotation Weight Map.
After that I am trying to Z rotate that bone, but there are no mesh deformations on it.

What I forgot to do correctly?

Thank you very much!

Did you assign a face group to the bone?  In other words, is the bone actually affecting any vertices?

In the Joint Editor, I notice you left the "Selection Group" as "none". That is where you assign face groups to the bone.

    Hello, people!

I am trying to add a new bone, but something went wrong.

    So, I have a simple G2F figure.

I am trying to add a new bone:

    Activated Joint editor:

    Added a new bone:

    Clicked

    Also clicked on

    Activated Node Weight Map Brush

    Selected weight map:

    Drawn some weights:

After that I've tried to Z Rotate this bone, but hands mesh is not deformed by bone:

What am I doing wrong, what I forgot?

    Thank you very much!

I dunno, whats happened at that point, but, it looks like it was a bug!

What I made to solve the problem - closed DAZ3D Pro, opened updater, installed a new version of DAZ3D Pro, installed DAZ3D Pro BETA.

After that everything, that I described above, work fine in both versions of the DAZ3D!
