How can I delete a created surface?

How can I delete a created surface? I tried to apply the maps for the skin but it doesn't work. I tried to put a new figure (the same figure) into the scene but it has the surface that I'm trying to delete. I'm using iray

1) Select all the polygons in your newly created surface

2) Reassign them to the Surface Group you want them in, I guess that would be the original before you edited.

3) Delete the new Surface Group you created in the Geometry Editor Tab

Otherwise you just hide the polygons after selecting them
