color coding scene items

Maybe I'm just a photoshop brat but I would love to be able to colorcode the scene items like I can color code layers in photoshop.  I often find myself searching through a lot of items just to find the characters.  It would be nice to have about 12 colors to color code with.  So I could make characters all green, clothing all blue, shoes all purple, lights all orange, and etc.

I have not figured bryce out yet so I don't know but that sounds about right.  I often put a ton of things in a scene and play around with it until I think it is right and then start deleting the extras.  Finding what I'm looking for is difficult because of the lack of color coding.  I'd be happy with a way to catagorize too if I could not just right click and assign a color.  The right click colorizing option would be more useful because then I can catagorize according to how I personally operate rather than how someone else thinks.

File a feature request by using a help ticket,  use Tech Support as the relevant dept and head the ticket as a Feature Request.

Thanks.  I did not know we could do that.

Just keep in mind.  A feature requested does not guarantee a feature implemented, but it does capture the request in a way that makes it more likely than a post in the forums.

Yeah I figured that.  :)  But I can hope.
