New to DAZ. Loaded "Behind the Neighborhood" using the manager. Can find it and get it to load into the scene. The obj files load, but then the textures cannot be found to be loaded also. Can find them manually, but seems like they should be loaded after the obj files.

Thanks,
Bill

I don't know what you mean by 'using the manager'? You should not be loading OBJ files at all, the CR2 file does that (among other things)

The correct way to load the product is by double clicking on the CR2 file, which should be in the Content Library > Poser Formats > My Library > Figures. Content bought from the store here is always loaded complete with textures by using either a Poser CR2/PP2 file, or a DS or DUF script file.

See if that helps any, and ask again if you need more help.

    EDIT:

Perhaps you mean you are loading the CR2? If so, have a look at the log file, Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File, and it should tell you what has happened. The texture files may not be in the right place.

By Manager,I mean the new "Download/Install Program. I do not load the obj manually. I click on the icon and DAZ loads the obj scenery objects. Looked in the log file and it says that the texture files loaded ok. After everything loads, DAZ gives me messages that it cannot locate the texture jpgs and they do not show up in the scene. Anyway changed over to Win8 from Win7 and Daz is working like it is suppose to. Did have a lot of problems when using DAZ with Win7. Not sure why the difference, but as long Win 8 and DAZ works together, I will use that.

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Very strange!

I have heard of problems running in Win 8, but never the other way around, I use Win 7 myself, and don't have any problems.

At least you can work with DS, which is the main thing.

I have had a 3d scene ramblin' around inside my skull for a long time. Messed with getting it out before, but everything seemed to complicated to me to set up. Have started it and along with some tutoring from Youtube and props from DAZ may be able to get something rendered that is suitable to watch. DAZ has made it a lot simple to express things.
