control+D puts the figure on the ground plane. There's a script that'll put it on a surface.

Dynamics is something we could really use, and hopefully someone will eventually write a pluggin for DS...

DAZ Studio does not have a physics engine, so gravity and collision detection are out I'm afraid. There is Dynamic Clothing available for use inside DAZ Studio through the Dynamci Clothing Control, but it has to be Dynamic clothing made by Optitex which is sold here in the store. There are a lot of freebies on the Optitex site as well, but almost all dynamic clothing is made for V4 and M4. There is some dynamic hair available from Optitex as well.

The dynamic clothing made for Poser will not work in DAZ Studio (any version) There is a Lite version of the DCC which comes free with DAZ Stuio, but to do anything extra with gravity would probably need the paid for plugin from the store.

well... we do, in fact, have collision detection :) I don't think it's at its full potential.
