What's the deal with the freebies? I was trying to make a purchase decision last night. I thought I had plenty of time because it seemed like the freebies were switched out on Thursdays. I came in this morning to find all the freebies back up to their "regular" prices. Since when did they stop changing the freebies out on Thursdays?

 

It's this sort of fluidity of sales and things that makes me NOT want to spend money here. I put items in my cart. I think about my decision for an hour or two, or like last night, I sleep on it. I come back. Prices have changed. It just frustrates and angers me. Honestly, I don't think it's good business. And I just came back to give them another chance after all the licensing shenanigans. Seems like Daz and her sister company both are having some issues with understanding how to treat clients.

I can understand the problem with sales - but freebies?

Yes, except I had purchases in my cart. If I removed them, they would either have disappeared into my huge wishlist or I may not have been able to remember them all. If my cart were empty, it would've been another story, but I hadn't thought to check freebies until after I was almost finished shopping. So, it was either dump my cart and download them or wait a few hours to make my final decision. And, yes, when you have more than 10 purchases in the cart with the freebies, it IS a difficult decision. Especially when you've spent hours searching the store already. 

Frankly, it's the fault of Daz for having such crappy and limited search AND wishlist functionality.

As for your dilemma: right click on the sale items in your cart, open in new tab, then delete from cart.

First: this is because people who are bookmarking a thread get an email for a new message in this thread and think it is a new freebie alert - which is why I called it "An Attempt of a "Limited Time Freebie" Message Only Email Alert Thread". I realistically called it an attempt. *grin*

Second: not stupid, not everybody thinks in tabs - I usually have more than one open, that's why I think of them.

Third: I could have answered if I knew the answer - I don't.

I seriously apologize Kerya for this...

 

as far as I remember and its been some time (I am not entirely sure how long), the freebies have changed on Mondays not thursdays (with the occassional random freebie during special events or I think wednesdays for PC+ members). As for sales, they have long running sales and then they have shorter flash sales. Its actually better business than you realize as the flash sales do create more sold items. Now please for future questions do post to the discussion thread so as not to bog down the actual freebie list thread. Thank you.
