is my tune a ripoff of something?

it sounds truely awful to be honest, well at least my perfomance

trying to do glam metal with a midi keyboard and VSTi instruments on my computer was never going to go well blush

but it also sounds naggingly familiar

anyway here is the video

any suggestions welcome, it might give me a cool music playlist to follow up if nothing else.

that was "oh you beautiful doll" with other words, not bug btw, and I never monitised it or anything, it's public domain anyway

the driving music is iconic in style, but not familiar in hummability. Not gonna be a problem w/ copyright, methinks.

love the teacher's pose when the band is in the classroom, heh.

lots going on in that video... drums timed nicely, and the lead singer lipsync is pretty good! nice!

The girl changing in the locker/closet was a nice touch.

    cheers,

    except he's a boy blush

need to watch the series to get an idea what is happening, is a bit obscure, I am not giving a lot away leaving it pretty much without dialogue

and yeah basic guitar chords that even I could play if I had one, just once I sang to it (yes was me with filters, RoVee was one)  it started to sound a bit too familiar.

    oops, lol!

to be sure, I *did* watch it in the smaller imbed, rather than full-screen (was considering the audio at that point), so it may have been more evident if I had viewed it properly in it's full 1080p/surround glory!

Either way, the changing scene still had me grinning!

yeah its all a bit trippy, based loosely on some fantasies I used to have.

I have deliberately left it all open to interpretation though not giving the real story.

I may share some of it here though.

Luke is a lonely misfit boy (the male counterpart of me I suppose) who dreams of an alternative world but unlike me and my fantasies that stay just that his become very real as he discovers various portals linking our reality with another, a Crystal ball  a video game and eventually just seeing places and people in their alternative settings.

He sees himself as some sort of elfling and finds himself inexplicably and embarrassingly dressed as such in our world.

Then he sees the Rock band arriving at the school to visit, promote but sees they are not what they appear to be either, he sees them as space pirates as they sing about in their song and they seem to somehow know him, seemingly pitying him but its not what it seems.

He has a destiny to fullfill and their paths shall cross again and not on as friendly terms.

goodness... there's a *lot* going on in there... i'll enjoy the review, having some context to work with!

fwiw, apprently 'underwear' dreams are pretty common during the teen years (thought it was just me...) - I really like the elf-en variation on that theme...

as I get along in life, I keep finding I'm *way* more typical than I ever wanted to be... which is probably ... typical.
