Again problem with object imported from Bryce to DFAZ studio 4.5

edited February 2013 in New Users

Hi,

I have again a problem while creating an object with Photshop Elements and Bryce.

I have created a texture with an aerial view I have edited just to keep the outside contour of the amphitheater shown in the following pictures
Thesecond picture is the aerial view and the third the contour which will be the first floor terrace of the Amphitheater.

After splitting the chanels of the second picture and making sure that the contour picture is on a transparent layer, I created a negative of the contour (contour in white on a black background) as to use them in Bryce (see bryce views picture 1 and 4 )

Then I exported the Bryce object as a wavefront format and imported it in DAZ which gives me what appears on the last picture:

In DAZ I set Diffuse to white ; 100% and related it to my contour original picture . I did not change the other surfaces parameters leaving to there
default settings and Opacity in particular is set to none +100%.

If I relate opacity to the contour picture then the whole object but the plane appears transparent. If I don"t then I have my object opaque but
set above a white plane instead of a transparent one, letting the rest of the Amphitheater visible which what I'm looking for.

I just don't understand why the process and settings I used for the Amphitheater itself does not work for the terrace contour texture...... This becomes a real nightmare!

Thanks for any help!

EDIT: I've just found the solution in the archives posts; Thanks to Szark post here http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=3229193
