Hi Fellows,
I am in the learning stage so
maybe the question is too simple:
In the attached file you can see the
ArmsHands group choosen in the editor
and color property set to red. What
I want to make now is to turn the
shoulder to be white but I can't
find how to select and change property
to part of the ArmsHands group.
Please advice.
Thanks in advance
Roman

Moved to New Users Help Forum as Art Studio was not really the right place for this sort of query
You've changed the Ambient colour of the arm material to red - is that what you wanted? Assuming it is, are you wanting to copy those settings to the shoulder area? If so, right click on the Surface pane's tab ( the bit on the right that read Surfaces(colours)) and from the menu select Copy Selected Surfaces. Now either select the shoulder area from the list of materials or use the Surface selection tool (Tools menu) to click on the shoulder, then with the area selected by either method again right-click on the Surfaces (Colours) tab and this time select Paste to selected surfaces from the menu.
Hi , Thanks for the replay,
but it wasn't my intent .
I was looking for the option
to break predefined surface groups
for the option to color part of it.
Roman.
You can break up surfaces by creating new ones. Use the Polygon Group Edit tool (Alt+Shift+G) to select individual polys and then, when you've selected all the ones you want, use right click to assign it to its own surface. When using the polygon tool, holding CTRL will add polys to the current selection while holding ALT will remove any selected polys from the current selection.
That's it , thanks a lot.
