Cateye reflection won't go...(and howdy!)
Heya folks!
Been awhile since I've posted here :D
Busy with life and study and tons of other stuff I won't bore you with ;)
I have started again om my DAZ projects and I have an issue with one of my eye sets.
Whenever I load the Lucian eyes and I render them, there is always that catyeye-like reflection on them.
I tried a dozen solutions and other eye sets don't give me this problem.
Also, I tried different kinds of lights and still the same.
Probably something is pre-set somewhere, but where could it be?

Well, I know of a tutorial to CREATE eyeshine like this, so maybe looking at the settings involved will help you remove it from your character...

I'm afraid I couldn't tell you why it's happening in the first place, though. My guesses include: it was intended by the character creator, perhaps it's a bug, or possibly you're using mats that were intended for an application other than the one you're using? (Perhaps Poser mats instead of DS mats, for instance?) Can you point us to the product you're using (the character or product the eyes came from)?
It's this one:

After dinner I'll look through your provided tut.
That helps considerably, it does have Poser mats. I suggest you select each eye surface in the Sufraces tab and check the Reflection setting and Strength and Specular Settings and Strenght as well. You will need to adjust those two at least.
TIP: Load a M4 with a DSmat and then compair the Settings between the two different mats.
Awesome, I'll do that!
EDIT
It worked!
The specular strength slider was all the way up.
I've been fiddeling with those eyes for hours XD
Thanks a million!
Happy to have helped, just remember lots of Poser only mats need adjusting in DS. Those are the two I check first.
If loading a Poser mat file in DS you will need to make adjustment to Bump, Displacement, Specular, and Reflect values.
