New to Carrara - problems installing

I purchased Carrara 8 pro online a few days ago, and downloaded all the install pieces. I got the first part installed no problem, but when I tried to install the native content, my pc does the asking for permission to run the file, then rather than the install window opening up to continue through the process, the window opens up but it goes no further, no buttons to click etc

For the rest of the installs it went kind of like that, some worked no problem, others gave me the blank window. So now I dont have working wizards, and I have clothes for michael figure but no michael etc.

Can someone help me?

    Welcome :)

    What's your OS,.?

    Win 8 has some issues with the old installers right now,.,... Run in "compatibility mode" for Win7 or earlier.

    It sounds like a file download issue, where the file says it's complete . but isn't,.. that can happen sometimes,.
    Try downloading the files you're have problems with, ..again.

    Clear your browser cache before you re- download them,.

    Thanks, Yes I am on WIndows 8 - brand new laptop so am still figuring it out. I was having the partial download issue - but went back and made sure I had the full file.

    Now to figure out how to install in compatibility mode.

    It should be,... Right click on the file,. and choose "Run in compatibility mode" or "troubleshoot compatibility" or something like that, from the drop down menu.
