Problems with Studio and Installer.
I'm not new but thought this would be the place to start. I've used Poser for years and am new to using Studio. I'm still using Poser Pro 2010 which may be part of my problem. I'm on a Windows 7 64bit PC.
I got in a mess so I unistalled everything and stared over. I used the DIM to install all my purchases, but they seem to install into thin air.
First I installed the latest version of Studio. Then used the DIM to do the rest. When I go to the folder in My Documents, the Daz Folder is there but after installing it all, nothing else including the folders that should be in the My Library Folder are even there. I have it set to install to the default folders in My Documents, but they seem to be installing into vapor somewhere.
I have all the thumbnails and what not when I open Studio, but none of the files are there to be found.
Since I did a clean install and use the DIM with the right settings, I'm at a loss here. Is there some kind of leftover I'm missing? I even used the unistaller for each and every item, but that seems to not have worked. Must be something messed up in the registry or a cache somewhere that is directing the installation of content to someplace I can't find. I've read or watched everything I can find, but can't find any mistake in what I'm doing.
An entire day lost and I'm no closer to being able to do anything it seems. I need a complete list of everything to make sure that I leave not a single item behind when I uninstall this time to get this to work. Is there a known bug I'm not finding?
UAC is turned off and I'm Admin, so that's not it. Odd that not even the folders are there after doing a clean install. Very weird in fact.

Hello Blaine
If you used the DIM to install everything, it will be there, so no woriies on that score. There is a new default location when installing items uinsg the DIM, and it is C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library. If you uninstalled everything for the My Library folder, and installed uing DIM, then you will find everything in the new 'My DAZ 3D Library', and you will have to enter the path to it in both the DAZ Studio Formats AND Poser Formats paths inside the Content Directorey Manager
Go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, and expand DAZ Studio Formats and Poser Formats, and enter the path to the new library in both of these. You can remnove the My Library folder from both as well, since it is not used now, and you have uninstalled everything from it.
Once you have done that, and restarted DAZ Studio, all of your content should appear, in both Smart Content and the Content Library.
See how you get on with that.
Thanks so much! I have so many folders in My Documents for work, I did not see it. All is well now. Now that I understand it, I really like this.
Now if we had an SDK or whatever it's called to import scenes into Vue Infinite and XStream. I don't really want to keep paying for Poser since I only use it to get stuff from point A to point B now.
