Can I use DAZ3D architectures and characters for drawing

Dear DAZ users,

I was wondering if I can use any DAZ 3D Architectures and characters as a drawing reference. Will that be acceptable use? I am looking to hone my skills and draw realistically and possibly sell my artwork someday.

Thank you in advance.

    Yes, you can.

  • Would it be also acceptable to replicate it through the use of a grid? For example, I posed a skeleton dragon for drawing and I applied a grid to help me draw it on paper. If I create a whole scene by posing and modifying different models and enviroments I buy from DAZ3D store, replicate it on paper, color it and then sell the artwork, will that be acceptable use?

There should be no problem with that.  Poser (and by extension Daz Studio) was originaly created as a drawing tool.  It was marketed as a replacement for that wooden posable figure that artists keep on their desk.
As far as selling the renders themselves...  That is all up to the licensing for the individual items.

Yes,   Do be careful though if you use any freebies from 3rd party sites, ie not Daz3d, as they may not support commercial usage.   There are just one or two older products in the Daz 3D store which have separate EULAs, the rest are fine.
