Figures / characters

As far as I understand the world, so far, there are three basic figures

Genesis (all generation 5 onwards)
Victoria (up to V4)
Michael (up to M4)
The Kids (up to K4)

but I have seen mention of Stefanie4 and Aiko4 and Reba Sky etc. Are these figures in their own right, or just characters of V4?

Is there a family tree somewhere?

And am I right in saying V5 is really genesis, but just made to be backwards compatible with V4 downwards?

    Stephanie 4, Aiko 4 and Reby Sky are morphs of V4, the same as the rest. You need the V4 Base figure to use them

    V5 is indeed Genesis, but like all Gen 5 figures it is NOT backwardly compatible. It is just a new morph for Genesis which has been designated V5.

    All of the Gen 4 male figures are based on M4, and all the females are based on V4. These are the only two Gen 4 stand-alone figures. (V4 comes with a Male shape morphs as well)

    Aiko 3, V3, S3 etc, are all stand-alone figures, and do not require any base. The same applies to D3, M3 and Freak3.

    That's very helpful. Thanks.

    What I meant by V5 being backwards compatible is that V4 clothes, props, textures etc will work with it...

    The Gen4 clothing etc will work on Genesis using the Autofit tool up to a point. It has gotten better but some items may need adjusting or fixing. It is pretty hit or miss with what will work out of the box and what will need adjusting. I think shoes and long and medium length dress can be an issue. There are a few threads regarding adjusting which I can't find right now. I will try to find them unless Pen comes along and posts the links. :)

    The Genesis figure is UV Mapped to take V4, M4 and The Kids 4 textures, so they should work on all Genesis versions. The clothing for V4 only fits V5 with Autofit, the same as any other Gen 4 clothing.

    You are getting there, it takes a while to get it all straight, it took many years to get to where we are now, but it is getting easier now that we have Genesis. :)
