I killed Genesis! HALP

edited December 1969 in New Users

Urgh... don't ask me how I've managed it because I don't rightly know... but i've somehow managed to break Genesis...
I thought I was on to something, managed to actually copy my custom-made morphs to the daft gizmo from M and V4... and now... nada. they all look like some twisted house-of-wax-swallowed-a-frag-grenade...
I need to uninstall and start again, from scratch and use the proper DAZ plugin thingies for shuntin shizz to Genesis

I have two problems... 1: i am not sure i can uninstall Genesis, and 2: how do i Re-install it?
I've been scouring the market for an hour but I am not the best at finding... things... in the marketplace. same in the forum; The search sends me 'there were no results for your search'. how can 'uninstall Genesis' not have results?

Have you tried removing the morphs you created? Because of Genesis' malleable nature, sometimes other morphs can cause problems with the base Genesis figure. Usually removing the offending morphs will fix the problem.

If you want your Base Genesis back to normal when it loads, select Genesis in the Scene pane, go to the Parameters pane, and select 'Currently Used', that will show you what morphs have been saved with Genesis. Get rid of them, and save Genesis again to where it loads from.

Unfortunatley, i've somehow written these morphs to some kind of base-file... Genesis loads with them as standard (which would be great if they didn't look all exploded...)
I've been trying to remove them for a few days on-and-off... but having lost my temper with it, i left it too long and forgot how the frag i put them in there in the first place... some CR2 editor i found I think... can't even remember now

I think... possibly, i might have something... i've discovered the base files for the next version of DAZ (still using 4.0 here) and i'm installing it to another hard-drive... something i've been meaning to do for a while... i'll copy across my old content and not let it replace any newer files...
    wish me luck.

Nope... i'm totally screwed then... somehow, the morphs are even on a newly installed Genesis... I have absolutely no idea now...

how do you remove morphs? they all load default at zero, but that's no the point. the point is that i need to remove them to re-add them so that they work later (whole other can of worms I expect to regret opening)

Urgh... you can tell i'm frantic by the mass number of replies...
I finally managed to find how to remove the morphs in the Property Editor Tab...

To anyone else dealing with this issue: The Property Editor Tab can remove morphs... Beware though, it can't be undone.
Unfortunately, I still do not understand how on earth I did this in the first place :S

Thanks for your help. Your comments set me on the right track

I had a similar issue a while back trying to create a new Kaelyn morph by editing the Basic Child morph. I ended up creating a supermorph which doubled the effect of the Basic Child morph. There's a lot to get used to when dealing with Genesis morphs.
