Clothing V4 auto fit \ what clothing auto fits v4 \ v4.2?

edited March 2013 in New Users

I have a few clothing sets for V4 and one of the most confusing things about clothing is how they fit to v4.

Question:

I have 1 set of clothing that you "Fit" on to v4 and it just just that it fits, if i make her fat it streches if I make her have a huge rack the clothing streches. If i make her body A4 it changes to match the shape.

Then I have another set and again you "fit" it to her and it fits but the minute you change anything like make her chest bigger or make any changes to her boody size and more or less the clothing does nothing and the skin shows threw the clothing.

This is probley a very basic thing that im missing, but what kind of clothing do i need that will auto fit v4 and still fit her if i change her body size ext.

At first i thought i needed dynamic clothing but i was wrong that doesnot seem to auto fit.

any help will be sick.

I think you are looking for V4 to work the same way as Genesis does, that one size fits all?

V4 is an older figure, and it does not work like Genesis. When apply conforming clothing to V4 (Fit To), the morphs that you are using on V4 aslo need to be in the clothing item. If you look at the Product Page, there is usually a list of morphs that the clothing contains, and if you use a morph that is not in the list, then V4 will start having major poke-through.

Some PAs put a lot of moprhs into their clothing items, others not so many, and in some freebies, there are very few. In DS3, we had an option called 'Morphs Follower' which could be used to put the morphs that V4 was currently using, into the clothing, so that it still fitted correctly. This has been replaced by 'Transfer Active Morphs' in DS4.5, and it is what you will need to use.

One of the reasons that Genesis is so popular, is because clothing for one morph of Genesis, generally fits any of them, without a lot of work. Have you tried using Autofit to put these clothes onto a Genesis figure? It would probably be a lot easier for most things, and there is also a V4 shape for Genesis which will make G look like V4 as well.

Chances are that the morphs are there, it's just that they don't "super conform", so you will have to dial the morphs in the clothing manually to get them to fit, or the main BODY dials "super conform" but the linking to the body parts is broken, which means going into each body part to dial up the required morphs.

You can thank Cross Talk in Poser for this, most venders are so paranoid about this that they go out of their way to stop it happening, problem is that this usually buggers things up for us DS users.
